This is one of the most characterful buildings in Market Harborough. It was built to run the cattle market and like its fellow in the Sainbury's car park, it still holds the remnants of the droving tradition. Large arches at each side would allow access from multiple directions, allowing the sale of cattle without congestion. With the invention of the trains, trucks and freezing droving died out. With buildings like this, a monument to the Cattle Market in Harborough.
