The original was painted in situ in Market Harborough, summer 2025. This was the last painting of 2025 and I decided to go big. The original is closer to A2 in size and captures the colours of the street in September in the morning light. It was painted in two sittings and I remember having to buy fingerless gloves for the second sitting. I smashed out the foreground and loved the crocodile that appeared as I attempted to capture the cars in the road. Being able to sit back in our broad high street and take in the scale of all the buildings was quite a privilege.
 
It was exhibited at the Symington Art Gallery in the Harborough Artists Cluster show Nov 2025 - Jan 2026.
